Seattle Concert For Earthquake Relief 2/25 (6pm Pacific)

Please join us at a special evening bringing together diverse local musicians united in an effort to support organizations working on the ground in Turkey and Syria to aid the victims of the recent devastating earthquakes.

The program includes Turkish classical and folk music, Mevlevi Sufi music, Japanese shakuhachi flute, songs from the Greater Black Sea Region, western classical music and more. Members of Seattle’s Turkish community will offer desserts and refreshments, as well as handmade crafts and jewelry for purchase.

100% of the proceeds raised from this event will be donated to credible aid organizations working in the afflicted regions. This concert is a private initiative brought to you by a coalition of the willing and the concerned.

The concert will take place on Saturday, February 25th at the Interfaith Community Sanctuary in Ballard (1763 NW 62nd Street, Seattle WA, 98107). Doors will open at 5:30 PM; music begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Consider arriving early to peruse the treats and crafts on offer, also available during intermission and after the concert.

Please register for the concert by RSVPing or scanning the QR code below. You will find links for donations to the aid organizations we have vetted and chosen. After you make a donation, please fill out the Google form and submit it. Send your receipt for your tax-deductible donation to quakeconcert@gmail.com and you will be placed on the will-call list. Capacity for the venue is limited, so please register early to reserve your seat. Limited seats may be available at the door.

If you are unable to attend, please consider visiting the website and making a donation anyway. The need is urgent, dire and prolonged. Please contact Timothy Kinsella with any questions, and share with others who may be interested.
