CD - Introduction - Zikr No. 1
Come say the name of Allah, and clean the rust from the heart.

Formerly published by Sufi Ruhaniat International as "Sufi Zikr No. 1", this CD is a recording of a Zikr led by Postneshin Jelaleddin Loras at Mendocino Sufi Camp in 1982. Beautiful musicianship and a multi-part vocal testify to Jelaleddin Efendi's very close work with the Zikr participants in the early days of the M.O.A. in the Bay Area.

Jelaleddin Efendi developed the Zikr for us at this time, in which we recite "Estafurrallah", meaning, "Please forgive me, Lord, for every moment I am not with you." Zikr participants are accompanied by Jemaluddin Henke on Ney, Talia Marcus on Violin and Viola, and Salih Bloombaum on Bendir. This project was designed as a teaching tool for those learning the Zikr.
